The People’s Station Majic 102.3 is celebrating parents across the DMV with the Majic Back to School Parents’ Day Party, taking place Tuesday, August 25, from noon to 6 p.m. at Carolina Kitchen Sea and Soul, located at 10250 Martin Luther King Jr. Highway in Bowie, Maryland.
Hosted by Majic 102.3 personalities, Vic Jagger from VJ in the Midday, and Russ Parr from the Russ Parr Show in the Afternoons. The day celebration will give parents an opportunity to relax and enjoy themselves before the new school year gets underway. The event will feature music from DJ Dirty Rico and DJ Sixth Sense, free food available on first come, first served basis, gas cards giveaways, and a chance to win a Las Vegas flyaway to see Mary J. Blige.
The celebration comes just months after Majic 102.3 announced the return of Russ Parr back to the airwaves in April, reuniting the beloved radio personality with listeners across the DMV.
“This is a party long overdue for parents who have been suffering during the summer who get to send their kids off to school,” jokingly says Russ Parr, Host of The Russ Parr Show. “But after a summer filled with schedules, activities, cooking, errands, and keeping the kids entertained, parents deserve a little time to let loose and have some fun,” added Parr. “This is more than just a party. It’s a celebration for parents for all their hard work and sacrifice. They deserve a celebration. This is for them!”
